Cuba Middle School

2014-2015 Student Council Candidates

As the new principal of Cuba Middle School (CMS), I am excited to start the 2014-15 school year with the students, parents, and staff of Cuba Independent Schools.

We have much to look forward to this school year, and we have much work ahead of us.  Below are our school priorities to improve outcomes for all students:

  • “Academic Press”: Instructional rigor is the primary driver of learning in the classroom.  (Like in the game of basketball, we want to  attack via “full court press” when it comes to our expectations for student learning)
  • Cultural Capital and Scholarly Identity: Every student’s identity and learning style as an individual is valued.
  • Positive School Culture: Students are recognized and rewarded for meeting curricular, social, and developmental expectations.
